"What kind of strange beauty lies in the light that our eyes cannot see ?"

With "IR-City" I wanted to explore this and decided to document the people and landscape of Oslo on a longer "wavelength"– through Aerochrome, a now discontinued and rare infrared slide film. Although infrared light is a part of our surroundings, it is normally invisible to the human eye, but some animals can see it.

Originally Aerochrome was developed by Kodak during the Second World War for camouflage detection. Later it was used for astronomy, archaeology and many other scientific appliances.
